SugarBash: A Social Media Platform Just For Women
Rianna Babb | @HermioneTweeted Pinterest gained its popularity by providing a place for people to share beautiful, interesting, and entertaining photos. It gave users with similar interests a place to share content. Facebook is currently the king of social media interaction. People log on to Facebook to share photos and have a conversation with a more personal and trusted group of friends. What if there was a site that combined the two methods into one? Women of social media, look no further, there is a site coming your way. The new site that is sweetening social media is called SugarBash, a niche social media platform specifically tailored to women. SugarBash is a niche social media platform that focuses on product discovery, recommendations, and social interactions. The site is set to launch on May 1st.
SugarBash CEO Samantha Kandah appeared on the Steve Harvey show introducing the site back in March. She brought with her nearly a dozen products that come in a package (called a “Bash Box”) that people receive when they sign up and pay a small fee. A box of new items comes every 3 months or quarterly. Inside the Bash Box is an array of goodies including snack foods, a USB providing automatic memory back-up, a culinary peeler, a Yankee Candle, Starbucks Coffee, a natural hair care product, and tons more! You can watch the Steve Harvey Show clip by clicking here.
As a company, you may be able to submit a product sample in the boxes in the future, but that information is currently not open to the public. If this becomes an option, SugarBash will become a 'must' niche social media platform for companies that target a mainly female audience.
SugarBash says they plan to give women a safe, trusted environment to share about their favorite places and products. Finally, a social media site where women can interact, shop, and learn about their new favorite things!
