Social Media for Artists deviantART Develops HTML5 Drawing App - Muro

They say, "A picture is worth a thousand words." Same now goes for social media. deviantART, the leading online community for artists and art enthusiasts, spent months developing an HTML5 drawing app, deviantART Muro. Members were excited to finally be able to draw or paint in the forum and in their comments. While it's only almost a year old, it already has fairly good pressure sensitivity, a handful of brushes and layer capabilities -- just like what you expect to have in Adobe Photoshop and Corel Painter.

The easily spotted con is when doodling in a comment. For some odd reason, you can't have layers, making it difficult for some new artists to get used to. Innovative deviantART developers are most likely working on tweaks and more features to be added in the near future.
